Women with Uplifted Arms Holding Flowers

Early this week I had the pleasure of taking a four day general skills workshop with the Creator of ATS, Carolena Nericcio-Bohlman, and her excellent team of instructors. ATS Reunion was hosting this event, I'm so thankful for all their work in organizing this training!

Every day we learned and blissfully danced Classic and Modern ATS movements. I had been on an ATS hiatus for two years, so coming back to these movements felt like seeing old friends; we picked up right where we left off, and delved deeper into the dance. The team of dancers that instructed us were talented and humorous. They offered delightful gifts of feedback that pushed us to improve our technique, but most importantly to smile, and feel beauty and love through dance!

While I went to this training in order to refine my technical knowledge of these steps straight from the source, and to get a certification, I found so much more. I found a renewed love of classic ATS movements, with a resonating passion for this dance style. I found myself continually becoming inspired. There is magic in being able to communicate with dance sisters from across the globe through dance! It is beautiful, being a part of a tribe of women with uplifted arms, holding flowers. I will be back in a few days to complete teacher training!

Special thanks to Lynde and Adam for hosting me for this adventure!
